LLM x LAW RESEARCH
Judge Business School
Cambridge, UK (in person only)
awards
Up to two standout candidates may be nominated to explore the possibility of a short-term visiting arrangement (anticipated to be up to one month) at Stanford’s Legal Innovation through Frontier Technology Lab (liftlab) in Summer 2026. We hope to explore one such arrangement for a Cambridge student, and another for a student from the broader university community.
Hack the Law will provide a grant of $5,000 (paid in $ or £ equivalent) to cover your travel and accommodation costs.
ORGANISERS
about
Pitch your research idea at the intersection of LLMs and law for a chance to be considered for this Stanford visit. Selected candidates would work alongside the liftlab community to develop their idea into high-impact research, with a view toward potential future academic output.
eligibility
Research pitch is open to students from all levels and disciplines. What matters is the ability to engage deeply and rigorously with technical problems, whether that comes through (in)formal training, professional experience, or domain expertise.
You can compete in both the research pitch and the hackathon.
registrations
Registrations are open until May 1st. Successful candidates will be notified by May 15th.
